Okay here goes. Like everyone else I don't know what to say. So I thought about it and came up with this idea. You know I'm really not a poet but I have suffered to be one many a time for others. So here is my meager attempt at writing a poem about myself

I cherish my son, he’s but ten young years old,
He renews my spirit and rejuvenates my soul.
I cherish our time, it makes perfect sense,
I’m his father you know, not past in tense.

I like my motorcycle, yes ride it in the rain.
The wind in my face is like riding in a plane
I like to play, one should never get too old
Try the mysterious, unusual, nor forget the bold

I am an IT junkie, yes that I am a nerd.
I don’t wear broken glasses, on this I give my word.
I am a man of principle I would sure like to believe
But this will be known only by the legacy I leave.

I enjoy dinning, eating out is such a lark,
whether in a restaurant or at a picnic in the park.
I enjoy sharing but need help drawing it all out
I have such great stories I would love to scream and shout.

I remember my life and the things that I have done,
the mistakes that I have made and the prizes that I have won.
I remember life being beautiful as a kid
Knowing it’d work out no matter what I did.

I feel strongly that dreams are meant to be true.
That sunsets are beautiful and so is morning dew.
I feel that someone should be just who that they are,
release their inner beauty even if it’s a scar.

I wish I knew now what I knew then.
Or reverse it around and say it again.
I wish the world could be a better place,
that I could do more to save the human race,

I question life and the decency of man,
silently amazed trying to fathom god’s great plan.
I question time you see, it passes much too fast.
It robs our precious moments which never seem to last.

I seek a friend, to just spend my time,
whether my heart be joyous or my heart sublime.
I seek not a mother, a girlfriend or wife,
just a friend or lover to share part of my life.

I love the sound of babbling country brooks,
of lounging on my back and reading some good books.
I love cold feather pillows and warm satin sheets,
going to museums and motorcycle meets.

I dream of mountains and walks in the park,
clasped in the moonlight, the blackness, the dark.
I dream of oceans, of walking in streams,
of holding each other and sharing our dreams.

I believe that love was meant to be kind,
never hurt the soul, never harm the mind.
I believe that trust and faith can be true,
even between the people like me and like you.

I find before a lover, one must always be friend.
Heed this gentle warning, lest your love come to an end..
I find that a whole is greater then its parts.
Not just for science but this also goes for hearts.

I desire a confidante, a friend, a partner, a peer,
someone to grab me when ever I come near.
I desire someone with passion and fire,
someone to trust and who won’t be a liar

I want to be happy and that can not be hard,
If things really clicked and our hearts lost their guard
I want to be able to place you on a throne.
It’s a man’s right, so he doesn’t feel alone.

So this is my own poem written in poor verse,
It speaks of my true feeling, I am sure I could do worse.
I hope you understands this, and understand my plan.
I want to love my woman, A woman that loves her man.
